How do I know if I have a male or a female frog?
- This is kinda tricky, because you could have an immature frog, that is a frog that is still growing. If your frogs are definatly over one year in age, size can usually tell who is male and who is female. Females in most small animals are usually the bigger because they have to take care of breeding process. The smaller animals usually give "birth"(if you will) to more than just one or two young, its usually more than 10. The males are usually much smaller than the females.
Another way to tell is that males are the ones that ususally croak or call, in order to attract females. This also tells the breeder that the frog is sexually mature and ready for a mate.

My treefrog every so often has a transparent "skin" that it wipes off of it's body and consumes it, is this natural? Should I be worried?
- No, you should not be worried at all, this is a natural process that your frog does every so often when it grows a new layer of skin, you are seeing your frog eat its old skin because it is high in vitamines and protiens.

My red-eyed tree frog does not move at all...It just sits there on the glass or a leaf like a green wad of gum. What is wrong with it?
- Nothing is wrong with it....Red-eyes are nocturnal, meaning that they are only active in the night time. Try checking on them at 3:00 in the morning when the lights have been out for a few hours.

Do frogs like to be held?
- Its hard to say, it really depends on the frog. I have never really seen a frog that likes to beheld though, and all the bacteria on your hands would not be good for the highly absorbing skin of the frog.

I have a (blank) frog, can I put another frog in with it?
- Sure, as long as: 1:They are about the same size, if one can fit in the others mouth, it could be on its menu. 2:They should also require the same climate and cage setup. 3:You have a large enough cage for both frogs.

Im kinda new at taking care of frogs, do you think I should get a Poison Arrow Frog for my first frog?
- No. Poison Arrow Frogs are too expensive, rare and demanding to take care of for a beginner. Im not saying that it couldn't be done, but that I dont think that you should pay that much for an animal that you dont have any experience on taking care of, and having it die because you forgot to spray the cage down or that it needed really tiny food.
